I cried in my lecture today. Nobody saw.

I have a love for native New Zealand birds. The Tui is my favourite because it’s birdsong is so familiar and comforting to me. We always have one in our apple tree or in our flowering Kowhai. We he sings it is like God saying to me, “Hello. I see you there.” I feel connected to the land when I hear him. Like I belong. Like he is including me into the history of the earth.
